Day Eight--Budding Young Star

Day Eight--Budding Young Star

Chi is showing signs of great promise in two different fields. The first is grooming and/or nursing. Every day she bathes my chin thoroughly, even to the point of nibbling a little bit on my nose. I have never had such a clean face. The second area is acting. While I'm sure that her paw is still sore after yesterday's accident, it is apparently less sore when she wants to play with sister and more sore when she feels in need of sympathy or feels she must compete for attention with the older, more established cats. If it weren't so adorable and transparent, it might be worrisome, but she really does go full tilt unless she wants to showcase her adorable self, hurt paw held suspended in the air.

The older cats continue to work closer towards becoming a family unit.Eventually we'll have to split up the children, but for now the two camps are working towards cohesion. The little girls are too small and innocent to create much chaos, and the older cats are not that old and still friendly and playful. Yeti got up on top of a box that I cut holes me in to make a fun playhouse. The girls have a lot of fun in it, but Yeti is enjoying it with them. That is too cute to watch. It was indeed a mostly uneventful day. If Chi is still limping tomorrow, we'll take her in to be checked out, but I don't think that will be necessary, given how much playing she managed to get in today. .
